CALABARZON — On February 21, 2023, DTI-Quezon in partnership with catalyste+ successfully launched the 1st OTOP Philippines Hub (OPH) website in Quezon Province and in CALABARZON via zoom and Facebook Live. OPH Lucena is operated by Ms. Eleanor M. Canlas of Amstature Foods located at Km 133 Diversion Road, Silangan, Mayao Lucena City.
The establishment of OPH Lucena website is one of the flagship programs of Canadian Executive Service Organization (CESO) now catalyst+ namely Accelerating Women’s Empowerment (AWE) in partnership with Global Affairs Canada (GAC). Through AWE, CESO aims to support women-led Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and contribute to local, regional, national and international development.
Present during the virtual launching were DTI- Quezon Provincial Director, Julieta L. Tadiosa, for her welcome remarks, DTI IVA OIC Regional Director, Marissa C. Argente and catalyste+ advisor Carmen Gagnon, for their inspirational messages and DTI – ROG Undersecretary, Blesila A. Lantayona for her message of support. Also present were the DTI CALABARZON Provincial Directors and staff, Regional Operations Group (ROG) and OTOP Project Management Office (OTOP-PMO) representatives and the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
The website Tour – features and highlights was presented by the OTOP Next Gen staff, Ms. Regine Avellano and followed by the message of acceptance of Ms. Eleanor Canlas. Catalyste+ Country Representative, Matt Navalta, delivered his closing message and commended DTI-Quezon and Ms. Canlas for the effort and endeavor to help MSMEs.
The master of ceremony for the event was Ms. Genny Arroyo, the business counselor at the Negosyo Center-Atimonan. ♦
