The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Quezon Provincial Office conducted the Revisiting of Localized Roadmap and Quezon Cacao Action Plan for the years 2019–2021 and the Conduct of Quezon Cacao 3-year Planning Workshop (2022-2025) at Negosyo Center Training Room, DTI – Quezon, Grand Terminal, Lucena City.
The activity started with an opening prayer led by BC Marianel Omila, followed by the acknowledgement of participants from OPA- Quezon, DOST- Quezon, DENR- Quezon, PCA Quezon 1, DTI IVA and Quezon and SICAP Quezon Agriculture Cooperative officers.
Provincial Director Julieta Tadiosa of DTI Quezon delivered her welcome remarks, followed by Mr. Florencio Flores, Chairperson of SICAP Quezon, and finally by Ms. Mary An Mada of DTI IV-A. The overview of the activity was discussed by the Cacao Focal Person, Ms. Honeylee O. Eclavea.
Ms. Eclavea introduced the government agencies that could help cacao farmers and manufacturers, especially SICAP Cooperative, regarding the supply of seedlings, financial assistance, training, equipment, and research and development.
The activity revisited the localized cacao roadmap and assessed the plans crafted for the years 2019–2021 and subsequently developed another 3-year (2022–2025) of plans, programs, and activities for Quezon cacao farmers and processors.
DC Anna Marie V. Quincina of the Business Development Division of DTI Quezon delivered the closing message and expressed her gratitude to the participants for being part of the activity. ♦
