SANTA ROSA, Laguna – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – Negosyo Center Program seeks to serve as a support system to nurture and facilitate the growth of the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Unfortunately, the pandemic has already hit small businesses hard. In this face, social media is a great way for individuals and communities to stay connected. With rapidly changing market conditions due to pandemic, communicating with customers via social media has never been more important. Businesses probably listed what changes it made as a result. With the emergence of social media, not only we are learning the latest news updates but we are also using platforms like Facebook and Instagram to provide personal and business updates. For businesses, this means leveraging social media to support employees and customers like never before. For the government, it means doing its best to efficiently share factual and up-to-date information.
To further equip our MSMEs and assist them despite the changes brought by the pandemic, a webinar on developing social media marketing strategies was conducted for MSMEs to compete in the crisis and to make a strategic decision that will leave business stronger at the other end of this challenge.
In this webinar, DTI-Laguna Negosyo Center City of Santa Rosa and Santa Rosa City Cooperative Development Office joined forces to help our MSME to understand the importance of digital marketing and properly utilizing the power of social media. The objectives were to heighten brand awareness, increase social community size, accurately target audiences, strengthen engagement strategies for increased brand loyalty, increase customer satisfaction and positive brand perception, and convert social followers into qualified leads and new business.
There was a total of sixty-four (64) participants who attended the said webinar.♦
