SARIAYA, QUEZON — The Rural Improvement Club (RIC) is a program of the Office of Municipal Agriculture (OMA) that aims to uplift the lives of farmer and fisherfolk families through women’s empowerment and entrepreneurship. As part of this initiative, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) through Negosyo Center (NC) Sariaya Senior Business Counselor (SBC) Shaye B. Nocus provided an orientation on How to Start a Business for members of the Rural Improvement Club (RIC) in Brgy. Bignay 2, Sariaya, Quezon, on March 31, 2023.

DTI-NC Sariaya’s major concern is cultivating an entrepreneurial mindset among the organization’s members before they venture into business. The orientation aimed to provide them with the necessary knowledge to start a business and prepare them for the challenges they may face. The members of the RIC were encouraged to open their minds to new business opportunities and embrace the entrepreneurial spirit.

Overall, DTI’s support for the RIC program has been instrumental in enabling these women entrepreneurs to achieve their dreams and bring about positive change in their community. By uplifting and empowering them, the RIC program has become a catalyst for transformation and progress, paving the way for a brighter future for all in Sariaya.
