Recognizing the role of entrepreneurship in transforming students as the future job creators, DTI Rizal through Negosyo Center Binangonan successfully conducted a Webinar for Youth Entrepreneurs thru the Youth Start: Getting Started the Entrepreneurial Mindset in collaboration with the University of Rizal System Binangonan Campus and the College of Saint John Paul last Friday, September 18, 2020 via Zoom Application and Facebook Live.

The activity was graced by DTI Region 4A Director, Ms. Marilou Q. Toledo who gave her inspirational message. She shared the 7Ms of Uplifting Micro, Small and Medium Entrepreneurs.   She also cited DTI, along with other national government agencies has programs intended for the youth including the Youth Entrepreneurship Program to help young Filipinos develop their entrepreneurial skills thru a comprehensive package of interventions.

Inspired by YEP’s tagline Harnessing our Own Resources for the Advancement of the Youth (HOORAY), Negosyo Center Binangonan being the organizer invited two homegrown young entrepreneurs to share their journey being an entrepreneur in the province. Ms. Cherry Lyn Mendoza of Moolk Creamery Corp. and Mr. Gladdie Mallari of The Bang Café and Restaurant both emphasized the importance of hard work, belief on one’s self, proper knowledge, and a team you could trust and work with to make endeavors successful. They also encouraged the students to go into business and do not fear failure, instead, learn important lessons from it.

Ms. Mercedes A. Parreño, Provincial Director of DTI Rizal closed the program with her equally profound remarks for the students and the professors who made this activity successful. This webinar reached 4,406 people with 1,300 views. ♦
