The Department of Trade and Industry Region 6 is calling on all manufacturers, importers, wholesalers, traders, distributors, and retailers of vaporized nicotine and non-nicotine products to join their upcoming free webinar on RA 11900, the “Vaporized Nicotine and Non-Nicotine Products Regulation Act”.
The webinar will be held on April 11, 2023, at 9:00 AM via Zoom and aims to provide valuable information about the regulations surrounding these products and the roles and responsibilities of those involved in their production and distribution.
The Vaporized Nicotine and Non-Nicotine Products Regulation Act was signed into law to ensure the safety of consumers and to prevent the harmful effects of these products.
Participants in the webinar will have the opportunity to learn and ask questions about the Act and its implementation and for those in the industry to know their responsibilities as manufacturers, importers, wholesalers, traders, distributors, and retailers. This will also serve as a platform to engage in a discussion with sellers about the implementation of the law.
“DTI R6 is committed to ensuring the safety of consumers and promoting fair and responsible trade practices in the region. With the rise in popularity of vaporized products, it is essential to educate those involved in the distribution about the necessary regulations.”, said DTI R6 OIC-RD Ermelinda Pollentes.
“This activity will be followed by monitoring and enforcement since we cannot allow non-conforming products to proliferate especially that the intention of the enforceable provisions of this law is to protect the minors.”, added DTI R6 OIC-ARD Judith Felisa Degala.
Individuals who wish to attend the free webinar may register through the official Facebook page of DTI Region 6, where Zoom details can be found.
The Consumer Protection Division of DTI Region 6 encourages all those involved in the production and distribution of vaporized nicotine and non-nicotine products to join the webinar and take the necessary steps to ensure that their practices align with the regulations set forth by the law. ♦
