GUIMBAL, ILOILO – In a collaborative effort to bring essential government services closer to the people, the Department of Trade and Industry Regional Office headed by OIC-RD Rachel Nufable along with DTI Iloilo Provincial Office led by PD Ma. Dinda Tamayo, actively participated in the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF) held at Guimbal National High School on December 9, 2023.
The DTI Iloilo Provincial Office took the lead in offering crucial services such as Business Counseling, Business Name Registration, and Consumer Advocacy Activities. These services aim to empower local entrepreneurs, facilitate business growth, and enhance consumer protection. The presence of DTI officials and staff demonstrated the commitment to supporting the local community in Guimbal.
The Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair, recognized as the country’s largest service caravan, is designed to bring key government services directly to underserved Filipino communities nationwide. The event showcases flagship programs like Kadiwa ng Pangulo, Passport on Wheels, and Driver’s License registration/assistance, emphasizing accessibility and inclusivity in the delivery of government services.
Adding to the vibrancy of the fair, the event also featured the participation of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). These entrepreneurs were part of a Trade Fair and Diskwento Caravan, providing them with a platform to showcase their products and services to a wider audience. The trade fair and caravan activities at the venue ran for two days on December 9-10, 2023.
The Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair serves as a proof to the government’s dedication to reaching out to all sectors of society, especially those in remote areas. By bringing together various government agencies and services, the fair ensures that Filipinos have easy access to essential programs and assistance that contribute to national development and uplift the lives of the less fortunate. ♦
