ILOILO CITY – In commemoration of the 121st Labor Day, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region 6 took part in a Job Fair organized by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Region 6. The event was held at Robinsons Place in Iloilo City, where DTI Region 6 provided assistance through a Help Desk.

OIC-RD Ermelinda Pollentes and OIC-ARD Felisa Judith Degala paid an on-site visit to oversee the operations of the booth. Their presence provided guidance and support to the DTI Region 6 staff in providing efficient and effective service to the clients. The booth served as a venue for clients to have their inquiries on business name registration, access to finance for start- up business and other DTI programs and services addressed.

This year’s Labor Day celebration was anchored on the theme “Pabahay, Bilihing Abot-Presyo, Benepisyo ng Matatag na Trabaho Para sa Manggagawabg Pilipino,” which highlights the importance of affordable housing, accessible consumer goods, and robust job benefits for Filipino workers.

As the nation celebrates Labor Day, DTI Region 6 continues to support efforts to strengthen the workforce and provide valuable assistance to the Filipino people. ♦
