Members of Rural Improvement Club of Nueva Valencia, Guimaras attended a three- day Skills Training on Flour Making made from Root Crops on July 23 to 25, 2018. The activity engaged the 15 participants on flour making flour from sweet potato and cassava.
 
During the first two days of the training, a lecture on the value of using flour made from root crops was discussed; while, on the third day, the participants started cooking using root crops’ flour.
 
Food Technologist Ma. Leah G. Danasco was the trainor for the activity.
 
Some of the new products output were sweet potato pan cake, sweet potato macaroons,   cassava  polvoron  and  cassava  cutchinta.
 
The training was initiated by the DTI Negosyo Center in Nueva Valencia in coordination with the Office of Municipal Agriculture Services (OMAS).
