BAHANDI Eastern Visayas Trade Fair, brings the “BAHANDI” – treasures and wealth, of Region 8 to the heart of Metro Manila at SM Megamall on October 3-7, 2019.
The event provides a marketing platform for big buyers to meet and source products that are high-quality and uniquely Eastern Visayas. This year’s Fair shall treat buyers and visitors to handcrafted fashion accessories, housewares, decors, furniture, and artisan food honed from island-living lifestyle of Region 8’s locals, yet increasingly becoming part of trendy items in domestic and world markets.
To date, a total of 151 producer-exhibitors from the Homestyles and Wearables and Processed Food sectors are participating in the Fair. On exhibit will be prototypes of newly-developed products and packaging innovation resulting from assistance under the One Town-One Product (OTOP) Next Gen, Go Lokal, Kapatid Mentor Micro-Enterprises (KMME) Programs, Shared Service Facilities (SSF), DTI CARP, and Rural Agro-Industrial Partnership for Inclusive Development and Growth (RAPID Growth).
The producers include those who are currently supplying Go Lokal! Stores in Rustan’s, SM, Glorietta, Robinsons Place, City Mall, Duty Free Philippine Fiesta Mall, selected Shopwise Stores, Enchanted Kingdom theme park, and in the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
This year, the total targeted sales by all MSME-exhibitors is P35M which is higher from last year’s P32M total sales.
Bahandi 2019 will be an avenue to forge long-term partnerships with domestic and international buyers. It aims to increase the visibility of MSMEs in the domestic, as well as global market, and build-up buyers’ confidence on their reliability, dependability and consistency as suppliers of quality goods.♦
