More than two months after the restrictive quarantine and Local Government Units prohibiting any form of mass gatherings, DTI Leyte brings back the Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay (NSB) in Brgy. Libtong, San Miguel Leyte on May 26, 2020.

The NSB is a flagship program of DTI bringing government services closer to the people through partnership with relevant local government units. Through NSB, people are oriented of business opportunities as well as their consumer rights and responsibilities.

There were 58 participants, 38 were existing micro entrepreneurs and 20 are barangay residents who are interested in putting up a small business. A one-on-one business consultation was also conducted for business advisory right after the discussions.

It was a good initiative for DTI Leyte to simultaneously conduct NSB during the Diskwento Caravan in the municipality. Now on GCQ, DTI will be implementing its NSB in batches to observe physical distancing as a precautionary measure while the COVID 19 Pandemic is not over. ♦
