DTI to launch Negosyo Centers in Ibajay and Altavas, Aklan
The launching of these Negosyo Centers will be highlighted by the “NegoCart”, a special component of the Negosyo Center which will showcase different products of each municipality.
Leading the opening of the new Negosyo Centers are DTI Region 6 Officer-in-Charge Regional Director Rebecca Rascon, Aklan Representative Teodorico Haresco Jr., Provincial Governor Florencio Miraflores, Vice Governor Gabrielle Calizo-Quimpo, and respective municipal mayors. Members of the Aklan Provincial Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development (PMSMED) Council will also be present during the launching.
The establishment of the new Negosyo Centers is through the coordination and partnership of DTI Aklan with the Local Government Units (LGUs) of Ibajay and Altavas, and the PSMED Council.
The Negosyo Center is among the programs of DTI for MSME development to promote ease of doing business; facilitate access to grants and other forms of financial assistance, Shared Service Facilities (SSF) and other equipment, and other support for MSMEs through national government agencies (NGAs); ensure management guidance, assistance and improvement of the working conditions of MSMEs; and facilitate market access and linkaging services for MSMEs. Since its establishment in 2014, through Republic Act No. 10644 or the Go Negosyo Act, the DTI has already opened 184 Negosyo Centers.
The presence of the Negosyo Center in each municipality aims to provide better and more efficient services to MSMEs.
