A total of 11 Philippine universities will be featured in the Philippine National Pavilion as part of the Philippine participation at the CIIE to be held at Shanghai from November 5 to 10.

The universities include Baliuag University, Central Philippine University, Centro Escolar University, Far Eastern University, Holy Angel University, Isabela State University, Mariano Marcos State University, Panpacific University, Saint Paul University of the Philippines, Tarlac Agricultural University  and University of Santo Tomas.

Aside from the on-site business matching at the CIIE Philippine National Pavilion, the Philippine Trade and Investment Center in Shanghai will arrange visits to various universities for possible collaborations.

The Philippine universities will promote their undergraduate and graduate programs, as well as English as a Second Language (ESL). According to estimates, there are at least 300-million to 350-million English language learners in China which presents a clear opportunity for Philippine educational institutions.

Philippine universities are also looking for possible partnerships and linkages with Chinese educational institutions in China.
