Makati City, Philippines — The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) unveiled the DTI-Bagong Pilipinas Christmas Village Fairs to showcase different products from Filipino micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs). This initiative is aimed at transforming select locations into hubs that will champion Filipino craftsmanship and sustainability. Taking place at three prime locations throughout the holiday season, the festive markets start with the inaugural fair at One Ayala, Makati City from November 18 to 22.

During the opening ceremony on November 19, DTI Secretary Cristina A. Roque emphasized that the event is a crucial platform to support the growth of the MSMEs and aid their recovery from the recent calamities. “The DTI Bagong Pilipinas Christmas Village Fair is a platform to support our MSMEs, helping them earn higher profits and recover from recent calamities. Through this ‘bayanihan,’ we offer strong encouragement for our MSMEs—the heart and soul of our communities—as we all approach a more resilient, prosperous ‘Bagong Pilipinas,’” said Secretary Roque.

The DTI-Bagong Pilipinas Christmas Village Fairs puts a spotlight on a diverse selection of handmade goods, including fashion, home decor, and food. Visitors can find personalized gifts while supporting local businesses and environmentally responsible practices. These fairs also provide a festive atmosphere with decorations and opportunities to enjoy Filipino delicacies.

After One Ayala, the fair will continue at Megatrade Halls 2-3, SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City, from November 30 to December 4. The final installment will be held at the Filipino Village, Ayala Malls Manila Bay, from December 1 to 22. Complementing the holiday ambiance of the Christmas Village Fairs, the DTI-Creative Industries Development Office will also host the National Fiesta Haraya—a Philippine Creative Industries Festival. This will celebrate the fusion of commerce and culture at the center of Filipino creativity in art, media, fashion, and technology.

Throughout the festival, regional representatives from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao will offer immersive experiences across clusters, including Digital Creative Services, Performing Arts, Cultural Heritage, Music, and Digital and Animation. DTI-BMDPO Director Marievic Bonoan encourages the public to celebrate Filipino Christmas and support local businesses at the Christmas Village Fairs and National Fiesta Haraya. “We invite everyone to join us in celebrating a truly Filipino Christmas this year.”

“The Christmas Village Fairs, complemented by the National Fiesta Haraya, offer a joyful way to come together, support local artisans, and make lasting memories. It’s an opportunity to experience the best of the Philippines during this special season,” Director Bonoan added.
