Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Regional Operations Group Undersecretary Blesila A. Lantayona signed the letter of intent (LOI) together with Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research (TISTR) Governor Dr. Chutima Eamchotchawalit, at ProPak Philippines 2023 last 1 February 2023 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.

The LOI aimed to exchange knowledge and experiences on packaging innovation and technology trends, and emerging opportunities and challenges for MSMEs between Philippines and Thailand.

Moreover, the agreement also aimed to increase the competitiveness of both countries through sustainable technology and innovation, co-develop and implement projects that promote, and enable technology adoption for PH and Thai MSMEs.

Additionally, the TISTR executives visited the Philippine Trade Training Center – Global MSME Academy (PTTC). As DTI’s training arm for MSMEs, PTTC provide trade-related training programs, skills building, and technology adaptation in order to enable them to progress as productive, competitive, resilient, and sustainable enterprises.
