Hong Kong – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) through its trade promotion office in Hong Kong, the Philippine Trade and Investment Center – Hong Kong (PTIC-HK), in collaboration with the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM) and the Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong (PCGHK), participates the HKTDC Food Expo Pro on August 15-17, 2024 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC).
This prestigious event will showcase the finest flavors of Filipino cuisine, enticing the taste buds of food lovers and culture enthusiasts alike. The Philippine delegation will feature seven (7) Filipino food and beverage companies, each presenting their delectable, fresh, and healthy product offerings:
- Kang Kong King
- Eng Seng Food Products
- LA Carlota Food Enterprise
- Siargao’s Bounty Seafoods Corp.
- Raspina Tropical Fruits Inc.
- Local Government of Buguey
- Hueza Bakery
The Philippine Pavilion, located at Hall 5C, booth 5C-E17, will highlight an array of premium Filipino produce such as durian, cavendish banana, pineapple, mangrove crabs, fresh frozen cuttlefish, and dried seaweed, among others.
The HKTDC Food Expo Pro serves as a premier business platform for global food and beverage buyers, offering valuable networking opportunities and the chance to discover the Philippines’ diverse culinary offerings. In 2023, Hong Kong ranked as the Philippines’ 4th largest export destination, with total merchandise exports amounting to US$8.84 billion, underscoring the significance of this strategic partnership.
“Hong Kong’s position as a global food hub, coupled with its business-friendly environment, make it a prime market for the Philippines to expand its food exports and strengthen its presence in the region. The Philippines’ participation in the HKTDC Food Expo Pro is made possible through the collaborative efforts of CITEM, and PTIC-Hong Kong. This event is part of FOODPhilippines’ comprehensive trade promotion program, which will also see the country’s participation in other major international food fairs such as the China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) on September 24-28 in Nanning, China; China International Import Expo (CIIE) on November 5-10 in Shanghai, China; and SIAL Paris on October 19-23 in Paris, France.
