Hong Kong – In the pursuit of positioning the Philippines as a leading source for creative goods and services in the region and globally, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) highlighted the country’s creative economy in the second run of International Culture, Tourism, and Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition (ICTICHE) held from 21-23 June 2024 at the Asia World Expo in Hong Kong.
The DTI’s trade and promotion arm in Hong Kong, the Philippine Trade and Investment Center – Hong Kong (PTIC-HK) spearheaded by Vice Consul (Commercial) and Commercial Attaché Atty. Roberto B. Mabalot Jr. organized the Philippine delegation and exhibit showcased artworks, accessories, apparel, and other products of at least 35 Filipino artists and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
PTIC-HK is dedicated to fostering strategic partnerships and connections with key players in the global creative industry sector by actively participating in cultural events.
Supported by the DTI-Cordillera Administrative Region (DTI-CAR), the Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong (PCGHK), and Pasa-Kalye Creatives, the Philippine participation aimed to showcase the country’s creative industry and business opportunities in the creative sector. ♦
