The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) brought together Philippine companies namely PLDT Enterprise, Advanced World Solutions, Titanium Technologies and start-ups – Rumarocket, Mobile Optima, Snapcart, Payruler, HYBrain and MediAid to show the country’s expertise and capabilities in digital solutions and outsourcing, software development, automation technology, digital platform solutions, machine learning and artificial intelligence tools, and call center (BPO) services.
To optimize the participation of the Philippine delegation at the event, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Singapore headed by Commercial Counsellor Cynthia Ricafort assisted in arranging the delegation’s business meetings with tech companies and business organizations from Singapore and Brunei.
With government initiatives such the DTI’s Slingshot – a conference that brings together startups and DICT’s Philippine Roadmap for Digital Startups – a collaborative effort between private and public stakeholders, the local tech ecosystem is showing great potentials and paving strong opportunities for Filipino start-ups.
ConnectTechAsia is the umbrella event of three communications and technology exhibitions: CommunicAsia, BroadcastAsia and NXTAsia where about 1,700 companies from 52 countries showed the latest trends in the telecoms, media and technology industry.♦
