from being accredited. Through mutual recognition agreement (MRA) and multilateral recognition agreement (MLA), conformity assessment bodies (CABs) like laboratories and inspection bodies are given some form of international recognition which facilitates the acceptance of their data, reports and test results. Exchange of goods and services are facilitated when trade barriers like re-inspection, retesting and recertification are no longer required as a result of these international accreditation agreements.
Accreditation can give us peace of mind. Consumers of conformity assessment services are assured that the organizations we are transacting with have the competence to provide reliable, and accurate data and results through adherence to international standards. Consumers are also given a wide range of choice of safe and quality goods and services.
Authorities and regulators can also benefit from accreditation in terms of more effective inspection and globally accepted test results. Regulators can set policy and detailed technical requirements and rely on accredited testing laboratories and inspection bodies to check for compliance.
At the end of each webinar, online participants are asked for feedback and evaluation of speakers. Participants receive an electronic certificate of participation and provided access to the webinar which will be part of the archive ofDOST 4A. Previously conducted webinars are still viewable at their archive.
