
Luna, Apayao – The province of Apayao is buzzing with activities as it hosts another run of the Agro-Industrial Trade and Tourism Fair to commemorate its 30th founding anniversary. Under the theme “Apayao Beyond 30: Enjoying Progress, Championing the Environment, and Building Investments,” the fair, which opened 10th February will run until 17th February 2025, showcases the province’s rich agricultural bounty, thriving industries, and captivating tourism potential.
The event, a collaborative effort between the Provincial Government of Apayao, Municipal Local Government Units, and National Line Agencies, promises a dynamic experience for attendees and visitors. The opening ceremony drew a distinguished crowd, including Governor Elias C. Bulut Jr., Congresswoman Eleanor C. Bulut-Begtang, key agency heads, and local officials. DTI-CAR Regional Director Atty. Raymond G. Panhon delivered a compelling keynote address, highlighting support programs and services available to Apayao entrepreneurs.
Visitors can explore a diverse range of exhibits, including a “Best Innovative Products” contest among MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) in both food and non-food categories. A highly anticipated booth competition showcases the unique agricultural and tourism offerings of each municipality. Apayao’s coffee and cacao industries take center stage at the DTI-Apayao’s “Kapetirya” and “Tsokolaterya,” offering complimentary tastings of locally produced coffee and chocolate.
