The Provincial Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise Development (MSMED) Council of Dinagat Islands held its 2024 1st Semester meeting on May 7th at the DTI Conference Room in the San Jose Negosyo Center, marking significant progress in local entrepreneurial development.
During the session, the council carefully screened and selected nominees for the prestigious 2024 Presidential Awards for Outstanding MSMEs and Outstanding Development Partner. The council unanimously agreed to draft and forward a resolution to endorse accepted nominees to the Regional MSMED Council, emphasizing their commitment to recognizing and promoting excellence within the MSME sector.
The council drafted and updated new resolutions as its commitment to resolve the pressing issue faced by the local entrepreneurs, and to support the same in their marketing endeavors. Moreover, a key moment during the meeting was the election of new leadership for the council. The Dinagat Island Province Chamber of Commerce Incorporated, represented by Mr. Leonel C. Rojo, was elected as the new Chairperson.
Further highlighting its commitment to fostering local business innovation and growth, the council discussed plans for the upcoming 2024 MSME Week. This pivotal event promises to bring together local entrepreneurs.
