The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) MIMAROPA participated in the inaugural Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair in Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro from 9 to 10 March 2024, alongside various national government agencies. Together, they aimed to bring essential government services closer to the people.
The DTI Oriental Mindoro Provincial Office organized a Diskwento Caravan and mobile One Town, One Product (OTOP) store, and provided free product photography, business registration and development consultancy services. Additionally, the Consumer Protection Division of the office conducted a basic consumer protection and empowerment course dubbed as EduKonsyumer. Representatives from the first satellite office of the Intellectual Property Office in Oriental Mindoro also conducted an information campaign and offered free consultancy services to the public.
Assistant Secretary Domingo Tolentino Jr. and Oriental Mindoro Provincial Director Arnel Hutalla led the DTI team during the two-day event.
According to the Presidential Communications Office, the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair is one of the administration’s initiatives “to give hope for a new beginning for the Filipino people by providing them with all the services at the comfort of their provinces.” ♦
