Fifty micro and small businesses in Region 10 virtually graduated from the Department of Trade and Industry’s (DTI) Kapatid Mentor ME-Money Market Encounter (KMME-MME) Program on May 31, 2024.
This is the first batch of mentees produced by DTI Region 10 for 2024.
In partnership with the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship (PCE), KMME-MME is a 10-module program that is designed to provide tailored assistance to existing and aspiring entrepreneurs, underlying the essential role for entrepreneurial mentorship and education.
Aside from the mentorship sessions, the mentee-graduates presented their Business Improvement Plans (BIPs) to the panelists from PCE, DTI, financial institutions, and market institutions.
DTI Secretary Alfredo Pascual extended his congratulations to the graduates through a recorded message.
“Today marks a significant milestone for you—the graduates.” Secretary Pascual said. “It symbolizes your determination and passion for revitalizing, sustaining, and upscaling businesses.”
Meanwhile, DTI-10 OIC-Regional Director Ruel Paclipan encouraged the mentees to implement their BIPs during his opening remarks.
“The next thing to do is executing the plan itself.” RD Paclipan said.
“I would like to believe that in terms of the level of confidence for each of the fifty mentees who have successfully presented their business plans, medyo nagtaas ang inyong level of confidence sa inyong business plan. (I would like to believe that in terms of the level of confidence for each of the fifty mentees who have successfully presented their business plans, your level of confidence is now higher for your business plan).”
The graduation ceremony also featured testimonials from mentees from each province: Ms. Leigh Buchorno from Bukindon, Ms. Melanie Sabacajan from Camiguin, Mr. Andrew-ji Paquera II from Lanao del Norte, Ms. Eda Tanya Lee from Misamis Occidental, and Ms. Charlotte Dakay from Misamis Oriental.
The KMME-MME 2024 Batch 2 is expected to begin on July 2024. ♦
