NORTHERN MINDANAO — Fifty-five entrepreneurs in Northern Mindanao virtually graduated in the Kapatid Mentor Me-Money Market Encounter (KMME-MME) 2023 on June 9, 2023.
The first batch of the Department of Trade and Industry’s (DTI) mentorship program for 2023 was composed of 11 entrepreneurs from Bukidnon, 9 from Camiguin, 12 from Lanao del Norte, 12 from Misamis Occidental, and 11 from Misamis Oriental.
DTI Regional Operations Group Undersecretary Blesila Lantayona expressed that she is proud of the hard work, dedication, and willpower that the mentees have demonstrated to reboot their business in order to recover from the pandemic and face the new normal.
“The KMME program, which is jointly ran by DTI and Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship-Go Negosyo has again produced graduates with a mindset and values of successful entrepreneurs.” Usec. Lantayona said.
The new graduates join the roster of more than 800 mentee-graduates in the country “whose objective is not only to survive but more importantly to scale up their businesses under the continued mentorship program.”
DTI-10 Regional Director Ermedio Abang said that DTI remain supportive of the mentee-graduates in their entrepreneurial journey.
“This is just the start of the many opportunities you will experience with DTI.” RD Abang said during his welcome message.
“We have more programs and more activities including free seminars, lectures, and fora on e-commerce, digital payments, innovation, and even additional business opportunities.”
KMME is a 10-module mentorship program that optimizes weekly face-to-face interactions between mentors and mentees. Its key goal is to boost entrepreneurial capacity through improved access to Mentorship, Money, and Market. ♦
