The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-10, Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG)-10, and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Pangantucan signed a Tripartite Sub-Project Agreement (TSA) for the improvement of farm-to-market road at Sitio San Roque – Sitio Lantawan at Lake Napalit, Barangay Pigtauranan, Pangantucan, Bukidnon on May 14, 2024.

The objective of the agreement is to facilitate farmers’ access and the delivery of agricultural products to the market through the DTI Rural Agro-enterprise Partnership for Inclusive Development (RAPID) and Growth Project under the Farm-to-Market Infrastructure (FMI) sub-component.

RAPID Growth Project is a value chain based development program which seeks to establish strategic partnership among key players of the focused value chain to achieve the goal of increasing income of small farmers and unemployed rural women and men by providing enabling conditions for the sustained growth of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and establish strong backward linkages with farmers in the coffee, cacao, coconut and processed fruits and nuts sectors in Bukidnon, Lanao del Norte, and Misamis Oriental.

The 1.2-kilometers road improvement has a total project cost of Php33.34 million and will benefit an estimated total of 3,696 individuals from both indigenous and non-indigenous populations in the area.

The tripartite sub-project agreement was signed by Pangantucan Mayor Miguel A. Silva, Jr.; DTI-10 OIC-Regional Director Ruel B. Paclipan, represented by DTI Bukidnon Provincial Director Famelah Racquel D. Villanueva; and DILG-10 Regional Director Wilhelm M. Suyko, represented by DILG Bukidnon Provincial Director Rhona Abadilla. ♦
