House of Representatives Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez; Congressman Lordan Suan of the First District of Cagayan de Oro City; Congressman Rufus Rodriguez of the Second District of Cagayan de Oro City; and DTI Assistant Secretary Dominic Tolentino, Jr. turned over the project approval certificates to 13 beneficiaries of the RAPID Growth Project during the matching grant ceremonial turnover during the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair on May 16, 2024.

Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Misamis Oriental delivered its services closer to the Filipino people through the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair at the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines, Cagayan de Oro City on May 16-17, 2024.

Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair is the country’s biggest service caravan that aims to provide major government services to less fortunate Filipinos in various communities across the country.

DTI Misamis Oriental, through the support if its regional office, organized registration services for business name and Barangay Micro Business Enterprise (BMBE), seminars on entrepreneurship and consumer education, business counseling, consultancy on Google Career Certification sign-up, mini trade fair, Diskwento Caravan, and fair trade law advocacy/briefing.

The DTI offices also held a ceremonial turnover to two approved projects in Misamis Oriental under the Shared Service Facilities (SSF) Program, matching grant to 13 beneficiaries under the Rural Agro-enterprise Partnership for Inclusive Development (RAPID) and Growth Project, and awarding of mock check to five beneficiaries under the RISE UP Loan Program.

Representatives from attached agencies from the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) and Small Business (SB) Corporation also provided free consultancy services.

Assistant Secretary Dominic Tolentino Jr., Region 10 OIC-Regional Director Ruel Paclipan, and Misamis Oriental OIC-Provincial Director Jesusa Abear led the DTI team during the two-day event. ♦
