Oroquieta City, Misamis Occidental – Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Misamis Occidental generated total sales of P107,473.50 during the Buhat sa Misamis Occidental Trade Fair at the Capitol Grounds, Oroquieta City, Misamis Occidental.

The 17-day trade fair which lasted until November 10, 2024, was organized in partnership with the Asenso Trade Fair 2024 as part of the celebration of the 95th Provincial Anniversary of Misamis Occidental dubbed as Perangat Festival 2024.

It was one of the major activities of the festival which aims to promote collaboration and foster strong relationship with the local government units (LGUs) and the micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the province.

It also aims to promote the local tourism and local products of Misamis Occidental.

The DTI Misamis Occidental booth featured 30 non-food and 36 food products from 23 MSMEs assisted through the DTI programs such as One Town, One Product (OTOP); Shared Service Facilities (SSF); Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP); and Negosyo Center.

Aside from the trade fair, DTI Misamis Occidental in collaboration with the LGU of Calamba hosted the DTI x LGU Calamba Night.

The event included an art showcase and exhibit featuring artworks from workshop students of OroInkTa Studio and trivia questions with local products from the Buhat sa Misamis Occidental Trade Fair as prizes.

Aside from promoting local products, the art showcase is also in line with DTI’s goal in promoting the creative industry of Misamis Occidental. ♦
