Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Misamis Oriental joins the Celebration of the Month of Overseas Filipinos (MOF) and International Migrants Day on October 24, 2024 at the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP)-Cagayan de Oro (CDO) City Campus Gymnasium.

Being one of the partner agencies of the Inter-Agency Committee for the Celebration of the Month of Overseas Filipinos and International Migrants Day (IAC-MOF), DTI Misamis Oriental extended the following services to the overseas Filipinos and migrant workers during the Migrant Fair in Misamis Oriental: trade fair featuring local products of the province, business name (BN) registration, Barangay Micro Business Enterprise (BMBE), business counseling, and registration for the upcoming Entrepreneurial Development Seminar.

In her message of support, DTI Region 10 OIC-Assistant Regional Director Almer Masillones shared that while the Department may not have a dedicated program specifically for overseas Filipinos, DTI has programs and services that can indirectly contribute to the growth of this sector.

“We capacitate entrepreneurship development to support the growth of MSMEs. We hope that our services bring positive influence and benefit to our Overseas Filipinos and Migrant Workers in a meaningful way.”

DTI Misamis Oriental served 10 clients for BN registration and one for business counseling and recorded 13 registrants for the Entrepreneurial Development Seminar.♦
