Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Misamis Oriental, in collaboration with Misamis Oriental’s Provincial Youth Development Office and United States Agency for International Development (USAID) 2.0, roll out the Youth Entrepreneurship Program: Be Your Own Boss (YEP! BYOB) in Initao, Misamis Oriental on May 28-31, 2024.

Twenty-five existing and aspiring youth entrepreneurs in Misamis Oriental completed the series of mentoring sessions that equipped them with essential skills to help them start, build, and grow their businesses to meet the needs of the local markets. The sessions included skills training, entrepreneurship, and design thinking.

YEP is a program of DTI that aims to address the young demographics to become productive individuals by improving their education, employment, and livelihood outcomes.

The program empowered the participating youth by fostering creativity and guiding them in crafting a business plan development, which was presented to the panelists.

The YEP! BYOB was graced by Misamis Oriental Governor Peter Unabia, DTI-10 OIC-Assistant Regional Director Almer Masillones, and DTI Misamis Oriental OIC-Provincial Director Jesse Abear. ♦
