The recently concluded Kahimunan Regional Trade Fair 2024, held from August 16-22, 2024, at SM City Uptown Cagayan de Oro, provided an opportunity for exhibitors from Misamis Oriental to showcase their products and creative innovations. The event, organized by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region 10, brought together local enterprises representing various industries, from wearable and homestyle products to processed foods and handicrafts.

Misamis Oriental was well-represented by 15 exhibitors, each bringing unique and high-quality products that highlight the province’s diverse creative and agricultural sectors:

These exhibitors represented industries that are integral to the region’s economy and culture, showcasing products such as wearable items and homestyle, processed food products, handicrafts, bags, pastries, ready-to-eat foods, home decorations, bamboo products, cacao-based products, organic peanuts, chili flakes, coco sugar, fresh coconut, pain relief creams, essential oils, and coffee.

The diverse selection of goods on display not only reflected the creativity and ingenuity of Misamis Oriental’s local businesses but also highlighted the province’s commitment to sustainability and innovation. Notably, products like organic peanuts, turmeric ginger granules, banana chips, trail mix, herbs and salt blends, yogurt, and chili powder caught the attention of visitors and potential buyers, emphasizing the region’s capability to cater to domestic and even international markets.

The Kahimunan Regional Trade Fair 2024 provided these local enterprises with the opportunity to reach a wider audience, connect with potential partners, and expand their market reach. Through events like these, DTI Misamis Oriental continues to support and promote the growth of local industries, contributing to the overall economic development of the region.
