Tuguegarao City, Cauayan City and Santiago City were among the 63 Cities in the Philippines which were awarded during the recently conducted 2024 Lunsod Lunsad Ceremonial Awarding Ceremony held on 06 August 2024 at the Philippine Trade Training Center, Pasay City.

The 3 cities will receive funding support for the implementation of their respective projects:

– Tuguegarao City: Dayaw Nat Tuguegarao – Forever Proud of our Cultural Heritage and Tradition

– Cauayan City: Minnapparabuak: Cauayan City’s Lunsod Lunsad – Celebration of Culture, Arts, Tradition and Innovation

– Santiago City: Santiago City Lunsod Lunsad Creative Festival

The Ceremonial Awarding Ceremony was participated by Mayor Caesar “Jaycee” Dy, Jr. and Ms. Mitzi Ann Gabriel of Cauayan City, Ms. Fe Mallari of Tuguegarao City, and Division Chief Cheeza Leia C. Tagarino of DTI R2 Regional Office.

The Lunsod Lunsad Project aims to link creativity with competitiveness while prioritizing sustainability in their development. It explores how creative industries drive economic growth and how fostering a competitive environment enhances a city’s ability to harness creative potential effectively.
