The DTI-2 joined other government agencies in observing the first quarterly national simultaneous earthquake drill (NSED) on 20 February. The regular conduct of drills is part of the Cagayan Valley Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council’s effort to promote public awareness on local preparedness and disaster response planning and implementation.  Prior to the simulation exercise, the team from Regional Office of the Civil Defense conducted an earthquake preparedness orientation on 20 February at the DTI Regional Office’s Negosyo Center Conference Hall.
