Piat, Solana, and Allacapan, Cagayan — The Department of Trade and Industry R2 Cagayan Provincial Office, in collaboration with the Department of Agrarian Reform Batanes-Cagayan Provincial Office, conducted a series of Business Systems Management Automation (BSMA) Training for CARPreneurs on 19-21 June 2024 in Piat, Solana, and Allacapan, aimed at boosting efficiency and competitiveness among local cooperatives.
Over sixty participants from Mabuhay Agri-Crop MPC, Solana West Farmers Cooperative, and PATASDA ARB Cooperative attended with the goal of integrating advanced automation strategies into their operational frameworks.
Ms. Marygrace Z. Ramos, Technical Assistant of DTI Region 2, who served as the resource speaker, introduced the basic concepts of business systems management, emphasizing the necessity for businesses to adopt these systems. She underscored the importance of adopting cutting-edge technologies to drive sustainable growth in the agribusiness sector.
Facilitated by Mr. Andre M. Abique, Ms. Precy G. Cristobal, Ms. Twinkle Joy Soliven from DTI, and Ms. Novelita Edraira, Ms. Marvie Turingan from DAR, the workshops provided hands-on guidance tailored to the specific needs of agricultural cooperatives in Cagayan Province. Participants gained practical insights into deploying software solutions and leveraging digital tools to optimize business operations.
