Members of the Tres Reyes ARB MPC learning how to make pickles during the two-day Fruits and Vegetables Processing and Product Development conducted by DTI CARP in Saguday, Quirino Province.

The DTI Quirino Provincial Office, under its Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP), conducted a Skills Training on Fruits and Vegetables Processing cum Product Development Activity on Packaging and Labelling on 13-14 June 2019 for twenty (21) farmer-beneficiaries composed of two males and 19 females. The participants are members and officers of the Tres Reyes ARB MPC located at the Barangay Tres Reyes, Saguday, Quirino.

Outputs of the two-day training include Coco Polvoron Pinipig, Cookies and Cream flavor, Coco Patties, Papaya Pickles, Sayote Pickles and Coconut Jam.  Professor Ma. Luisa C. Cortez, Phd, from the Quirino State University – Maddela Campus served as trainor.

A second training-seminar on Management Process, Planning and Control was conducted on June 18, 2019 this time for 22 members (10 males and 12 females) of the Aglipay North Agri-Business Association situated at Barangay Villa Pagaduan, Aglipay, Quirino.  Discussions focused on the different management processes of planning, organizing, staffing, directing and controlling and how these processes can help them to strategically achieve their organizational goals.♦
