Cauayan City, Isabela — The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) R2 Isabela Provincial Office, in collaboration with DTI Region 02 – SMEDD, and the Intellectual Property Office (IPO) Field Office 02, successfully organized a pivotal roadshow on Intellectual Property, Food Regulatory Certification, and Small Business Corporation Services. Held on 5 July 2024, at Bamboo Hall, Cauayan City Hall, Cauayan City, Isabela, the event aimed to bring essential regulatory and certifying services closer to Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the region. The venue was generously provided by the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Cauayan City.
The roadshow featured comprehensive information sessions conducted by experts from the Intellectual Property Office, DTI – Food Regulatory Certification, and Small Business Corporation services. These sessions provided valuable insights into securing intellectual property rights, obtaining food regulatory certifications, and accessing support programs tailored for small businesses. Attendees engaged directly with experts, learning about processes and service benefits.
A significant highlight was the on-the-spot facilitation of applications for Intellectual Property, Food and Drug Administration (FDA) License to Operate (LTO), and Small Business Corporation (SB Corp) services. This streamlined process ensured that MSMEs could initiate regulatory compliance and certification efficiently.
The event attracted 30 MSMEs from the food sectors across Isabela province, underscoring the importance of such initiatives in bolstering local economic resilience and sustainability.
This collaborative effort between DTI R2 Isabela Provincial Office, DTI Region 02, and IPO Field Office 02 highlights the government’s proactive approach to supporting MSMEs and fostering a conducive business environment in the region. ♦
