Extending great support for the creative industry in the province, DTI R2 Batanes attends the Creative Hub’s Art Class Batch 2 Graduation Exhibit at Raywen-Hamyan Gallery on 9 March 2024. The Creative Hub, owned by Michelle B. Abelador, a KMME-MME graduate, in collaboration with the Batanes Creative Industry Association (BCIA) President and her husband, Mr. Xavier Abelador, proudly presents the graduation exhibit of its second batch of art students. This initiative stems from their passion for nurturing young talents in the province.

The art class, open to kids up to teens, spanned over 13 sessions covering five different modules: drawing, acrylic, watercolor, oil, and el plain air. Mr. Abelador, serving as the instructor, utilized his expertise to guide and inspire the budding artists throughout the course. “The Creative Hub’s art class aims to hone the skills of young artists on the island and serves as a motive to detach themselves from technology. In class, they get to learn different techniques and discover their style as we go along the way,” he said.

This initiative aligns with the objectives of the Philippine Creative Industries Development Act, which aims to promote the growth and development of the creative industries in the country. DTI R2 Batanes recognizes the importance of nurturing local talent and supporting creative endeavors to contribute to the economic and cultural development of the province.

The exhibit will showcase the remarkable works of the young talents who have dedicated their time and efforts to mastering various artistic techniques and allow the community to appreciate and support the creative endeavors of the youth until 23 May 2024, providing ample time for art enthusiasts and supporters to visit and celebrate the achievements of these talented individuals.

DTI R2 Batanes encourages everyone to join in this celebration of creativity and innovation in the province.
