Tuguegarao City, Cagayan — Coinciding with the 126th Philippine Independence Day on 12 June 2024, the 1st Cagayan Coffee Cupping Session was held at Kaffee Kultura Café on Magallanes Street.

The activity, an off-shoot of the 2024 Philippine Coffee Expo, was conducted in two runs on the same day. It was participated by a total of 23 coffee shops, home brewers, and coffee lovers from Solana, Piat, and Tuguegarao City in the Province of Cagayan, as well as Tumauini in the Province of Isabela.

During the session, participants evaluated the unique taste characteristics of coffee beans acquired during the Coffee Expo. They had the opportunity to try different coffee flavors and gained a better understanding of each type of coffee bean. Café owners Mr. Jah Sales and Ms. Danielle Mabazza also shared various brewing techniques.

The event highlighted the growing coffee culture and provided a platform for local coffee enthusiasts to connect and share their passion. ♦
