The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region 2’s 18th edition of the Padday na Lima Regional Trade Fair (RTF), continues to draw partnership with the Provincial Government of Quirino (PGQ), led by Governor Dakila “Dax” Cua on 11 April 2024 in Cabarroguis, Quirino.

This was the result of the buy-in meeting with the Provincial Government of Quirino through Provincial Administrator Carmelita Jimenez that was conducted by the officers of the DTI R2-SME Development Division (SMEDD), led by OIC Chief Desiree Angolluan, and the DTI R2 Quirino, led by Provincial Director Mary Ann Dy.

The collaboration between the DTI R2 and the PGQ-one of the event’s partners for the upcoming Padday na Lima RTF which will take place in Festival Mall Alabang in September, includes setting up a provincial pavilion as part of the fair’s components, showcasing the province’s assets, products, tourism destinations, and investment opportunities to attract potential investors in the metro. This is yet another partnership with the agency after showcasing its innovative craftsmanship at the Manila FAME 2023 and the Ambiente Fair 2024 in Germany.

On the other hand, a detailed overview of the fair’s concept and components, outlining the preparatory phase and trade fair facilitation process, was tackled by OIC-Chief Angolluan.

As a way forward, the DTI R2 and PGQ will closely coordinate to work on the proposed plans for its involvement in the tradeshow and other marketing activities, such as Manila Fame and Ambiente, and other MSME development initiatives.

Also present during the meeting were STIDS Karen Amores of DTI R2-SMEDD and STIDS Shiela Nera of DTI R2-Quirino.
