Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines—  The mission of helping farmers and MSMEs expand their market reach continues as the DTI R2 Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Office successfully facilitated a crucial partnership between the Aritao Trading Post and Agro-Digital PH during a meeting held on 2 July 2024.

The meeting included a short tour of the trading post and discussions with sellers/producers and Mayor Remelina Peros-Galam. Following these interactions, Agro-Digital PH, represented by Chief Farming Officer Mr. Henry Janes Sison and Chief Finance Officer Ms. Analissa Jardin, committed to purchasing fresh produce from the trading post. They agreed to an initial weekly purchase of 4 tons of various commodities.

Starting in July, Agro-Digital PH will begin buying commodities such as avocados and dragon fruits. They also plan to purchase vegetables in the following weeks and months, pending a survey of the available commodities and their corresponding volumes.

To further discuss related matters, another meeting with the Aritao farmers is scheduled for the last week of July.

The exploratory meeting was facilitated by BDD Chief Lenore Lee Lopez and JBC Michael Angelo Laureta.

This collaboration marks a significant step towards enhancing market opportunities for local farmers and MSMEs, driving economic growth and sustainability in the province.
