“Stand out and do business! The DTI will be with you every step of the way as you start diving into the world of marketing and entrepreneurship,” DTI R2 Nueva Vizcaya representative TIDS Silvester Miguel said as he delivered a lecture on the Best Practices of MSMEs in Marketing their Products and DTI’s related programs and services during the MARKETREP: Exploring the Intersection of Marketing and Entrepreneurship Seminar of the Junior Marketing Association of Saint Mary’s University on 8 May 2024.
A total of 75 students attended this activity. The discussion of TIDS Miguel dwelled mostly on the commendable practices of Nueva Vizcaya MSMEs in marketing their products. Among the practices shared were the active participation of MSMEs in local, national, and even international fairs; the intensive promotion of their products through social media; commitment to food and product development; involvement to various MSME associations; and adoption of digitalization and/or E-Commerce.
To enlighten the students, he also discussed the agency’s services and mandates under itSSs four organizational outcomes: Export and Investment Promotion, Industry development, MSME Development, and Consumer Welfare and Protection.
Aside from TIDS Miguel Mr. Christian Alexies S. Martillana, CEO of Honey Buns Bakeshop – Bambang; Mr. Mark Dhareen Cruz, Co-owner of Felisa’s Grind and Brew; and Ms. Anna Fritzie T. Gammad, Registered Marketing Professional were invited as guest speakers.
