Mayor Benigno B. Calauad of the Local Government Unit of Bagabag responded positively to the proposed Price Tag Ordinance of the DTI R2 Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Office during Provincial Director Atty. Michael B. Paggabao’s courtesy visit on 29 April 2024.

During the discussion, PD Paggabao expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome from Mayor Calauad and commended the Mayor’s steadfast support for the initiatives of the DTI.

The Price Tag Ordinance mandates every establishment to affix price tags on products and services. This crucial measure will help protect consumers from unfair and deceptive pricing practices, empowering them to make informed purchasing decisions. Both parties exchanged insights on the effective implementation and enforcement of this ordinance, underscoring its significance in safeguarding consumer rights.

After the meeting, PD Paggabao also visited the loom weaver from the Gaddang Tribe, Ms. Myrna Aban, as well as the only Strawberry Farm in Bagabag, Humming Farm where he actively engaged with local entrepreneurs, listening to their concerns, and assessing the on-ground impact of current DTI programs. From providing insights on business development strategies to facilitating access to government assistance initiatives, PD Paggabao reaffirmed the DTI’s role as a catalyst for MSME growth and sustainability.

Also with PD Paggabao were STIDS Richard Siuagan, TIDA Jeric Galace, and JBC Precious Mae Marzan.
