The Department of Trade and Industry Region 2 and PCE Go-Negosyo have again produced new mentee graduates with the mindset and values of successful entrepreneurs, as the 47 mentees from the agricultural business sector under the 8th batch of the KMME-MME Online Program concluded their graduation ceremony on 17 August 2023.

Filled with zeal and passion, the elite batch of mentees successfully achieved the requirements prescribed by Go Negosyo and DTI R2, including the rigorous series of coaching and mentoring consultations under the program’s 10-module program and the presentation of their respective business improvement plans.

DTI R2 Assistant Regional Director Winston T. Singun, representing Regional Director Leah Pulido Ocampo, expressed the agency’s utmost joy and admiration for the graduating batch and commended the commitment of the mentees to elevating their businesses through the KMME Program.

“Let’s continue to work together, support each other, and help one another scale up, generate employment opportunities, and mainstream products to expand market reach,” said ARD Singun.

Additionally, DTI Regional Operations Group USec. Blesila Lantayona applauded the willpower of the mentees to finish the program and urged them to take advantage and maximize connections with their fellow mentors and coaches. “We are looking forward to welcoming you back to the KMME, not as a mentee, but as a mentor.”

On the other hand, Go Negosyo Founder Joey Concepcion reminded the mentees to always keep learning and moving forward and said, “Our role is to mentor you so that you have a better chance of succeeding as a negosyante.”

A highlight of the event was the virtual presentation of the e-certificates of the mentees. The top mentees also shared their experiences and learnings during the modules and thanked their mentors and coaches, who supported them all through the sessions.

In closing, DTI R2 Nueva Vizcaya’s Provincial Director Marietta B. Salviejo encouraged the mentees to maintain the passion they have for their business and to strengthen their engagement with their mentors and coaches by staying connected, reaching out, and seeking out advice.

Meanwhile, DTI R2 has produced a total of 1068 KMME Graduates since its launch in 2017. The 9th batch of the KMME-MME Online Program will commence in 2024. ♦
