The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) R2 Cagayan Provincial Office empowered over 60 sari-sari store owners by conducting Module 3, titled “e-Level Up ang Puhunan,” under the “Tindahan Mo, e-Level Up Mo!” initiative of the Sari-Sari Store Advancement Program (SSSAP) on 28 August 2024 at the Municipal Gymnasium, Solana, Cagayan.
The SSSAP is a pivotal initiative aimed at empowering over one million (1M) sari-sari store owners across the Philippines. By embracing digital transformation, enhancing financial literacy, and promoting sustainable business practices, this program seeks to elevate Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), making them more resilient, innovative, and competitive within the national economy.
Hon. Jennalyn P. Carag, the Local Chief Executive, expressed her gratitude to the agency for its support, while DC Cynthia Talattad highlighted the importance of this activity in fostering the growth and sustainability of local businesses, particularly sari-sari stores.
A discounted selling activity followed the module session, featuring six suppliers—8JMSG Corporation, SMART, G-Xchange Inc. (Gcash), Laicom, Puregold, and Gio’s Commercial—offering products at reduced prices, thus, providing immediate economic benefits to the sari-sari store owners.
