The naturally vibrant and authentic products of Nueva Vizcaya continue to gleam and make their way into the national and global arena as the new product of One Vizcaya Export Corporation, the Maharlika Pure Calamansi was hailed as the winner for the Food Ingredients, Condiments, and Sweeteners category during the KATHA Awards for Food Awarding Ceremony of the 2024 International Food Exhibition (IFEX) Philippines on 26 April 2024.

IFEX Philippines is the country’s long-running premier international trade fair for global food and ingredients organized by the DTI Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions to connect food suppliers in the Philippines with international buyers. One of its highlights was the KATHA Awards for Food which recognized participating manufacturers and suppliers who have exemplified the essence of Philippine innovation and creativity, elevating the culinary landscape through their pioneering products and applications.

One Vizcaya is an export company owned by Ms. Alma Grace Manzano – Casumpang, a Novo Vizcayano. With their mission of bringing “Our Produce, Closer to the World”, the company sources out raw materials from Nueva Vizcaya and the other provinces in Region 2 and exports practical and economical products to the United States, Europe, Canada, and eventually to the Middle East and Asia Pacific regions.

Aside from the said award, the Maharlika Pure Calamansi product also received a Special Citation for Sustainable Practices.

Another exciting news is that this product will be showcased at the IFEX Philippines which will be held at the World Trade Center Metro Manila, Pasay City on 10-12 May 2024!

Aside from One Vizcaya, three MSMEs and/or certified and export-ready products from the province are also set to take center stage at the said event. These are the banana chips of One Asia’s Trader, black and pigmented rice of Agrizkaya Cooperative Federation, and the vacuum-fried veggies and instant pinakbet products of Kaagapay ng mga Magsasaka, Mangangalakal at Exeperto sa Pagpoproseso  – Nueva Vizcaya Producers Cooperative (KMMEP-NVPC).
