Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines—  “You can save a life. Be a Hero!”

The Department of Trade and Industry’s mantra of “Serbisyong Higit Pa Sa Inaasahan,” has always been the guiding principle carved into the minds and hearts of the agency’s employees and is continuously observed and/or implemented beyond simply working overtime.

Team DTI R2 NViable brought the interpretation of this mantra to a whole new level by initiating activities that go beyond the usual mandates of the agency. One of which is the Dugo Mula sa Puso Project, a regular Mobile Blood Donation Activity in collaboration with the Region II Trauma and Medical Center.

Another run of this activity was held on 28 June 2024 at the DTI R2 NV Provincial Office, wherein a total of 10 fit and qualified blood heroes donated 450 ML of blood each. This is the fourth run of the said project and this time, DTI R2 NV began expanding its scope by inviting MSMEs and other interested donors.

The said activity was facilitated by a team led by Dr. Katrina Blando.

This organization culture activity is part of the Memorandum of Agreement signed by the DTI and RIITMC last 2023. The MOA contains the 50%-50% sharing arrangement, wherein half of the blood collected will be given to the blood bank of RIITMC, while the other half will be stored for the DTI R2 NV personnel in case of emergencies.
Our blood heroes from DTI were TIDS Ronald Tuddao, TIDS Robelyn Mae Lising, TIDA Jerick Galace, Technical Assistant Jonalyn Tan, Technical Assistant Arjay Mar Novida, Admin. Assistant Karina Mae Guzman, Planning Assistant Nicole Cantong, Guard Frederick Casareno, and business owners/representatives Michael Eroles and Aleeza Kaye Tomas. ♦
