Bagabag, Nueva Vizcaya— To adapt to the inevitable fast-paced technological changes, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region 2 Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Office through the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP), conducted a two-day training to capacitate two multi-purpose cooperatives in Bagabag, Nueva Vizcaya on May 21-22,2024 as part of the digitalization campaign.
With the involvement of digital techniques, innovation is fostered through the provision of platforms for the development of products and services.
The said MPCs were Paniki Multipurpose Cooperative and Nangalisan Multipurpose Cooperative.
Ms. Flomilyn Dela Cruz, STIDS-CARP, Mr. Jan Christopher Decoro, Digitalization Focal, and Ms. Precious Mae Marzan, JBC Bagabag discussed the topics on digital marketing, business automation, creation of official business credentials, Canva designing, and introduction of Peddlr- a free locally-made point of sale (P.O.S.) system.
Ms. Marites Tomas, manager of Paniki MPC, extended her gratitude on behalf of the cooperative as the workshop has taught its members fresh things to integrate into their day-to-day operations. She also added that the said group is always ready to welcome possible future collaborations with the agency, especially on digitalization.
On the other hand, Mr. Manolo Metcha, chairperson of Nangalisan MPC, expressed his excitement for his group as these digitalization steps could bring positive changes to their cooperative’s current status. He then urged the members to continue to explore and adapt to the newly-taught techniques as these methods will help them cope with technological advancements. This transformation has a profound impact on various aspects of the business society, including communication and commerce; as digitalization aims to connect people, businesses, and communities hence, addressing societal challenges amidst today’s digital age. ♦
