The Local Government Unit of Santiago City, in partnership with the Department of Agriculture (DA), the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), the National Food Authority (NFA), the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), conducted the second run of KADIWA ng Pangulo on March 1, 2024, at City Hall, Santiago City.
There were 25 exhibitors who participated in the event, selling quality and affordable agricultural products, basic necessities and prime commodities, and non-food products. These included grocery items, organic produce, beverages, processed foods, dairy products, and more. They were sold by farmers, fisherfolk, MSMEs, and other local producers, both agricultural and non-agricultural.
The activity culminated with the submission of the sales report, generating a remarkable total of PHP 110,208.00 in sales. This indicates the effectiveness and positive impact of the KADIWA ng Pangulo initiative. Beyond mere financial gains, the sales report captured the essence of the program: a celebration of community resilience, and agricultural and economic empowerment.
