TANAY, RIZAL – DTI, in partnership with the Local Government of Tanay, Negosyo Center – Program Management Unit (NC-PMU) and Microfinance Council of the Philippines Inc., (MCPI) successfully conducted its 5th session of ARAL PLUS Choice Module Training which was attended by 21 MSMEs and 13 DTI and Negosyo Center Business Counselors and MCPI speakers.

ARAL PLUS is a customer empowerment-focused financial education for micro and small entrepreneurs. Its goal is to build the financial capability of MSMEs to make informed decisions when availing financial products and services. On the last session entitled “ Reflection on Action Taken”, participants were asked to share their thoughts on purchasing a financial service. They were divided into two (2) groups, those who will potentially avail financial service and those who don’t. Each group were asked to state what hinders them in availing FS and how will they overcome it. Lastly, they were asked to write down suggestions on how a FSP can further help MSMEs become an empowered financial customer.

Mayor Rafael Tanjuatco also visited the activity.
