Victoria, Laguna — The Department of Trade and Industry – Laguna Provincial Office (DTI-Laguna) extended support to one of its partners, the Provincial Government of Laguna, in harnessing the potential of homegrown micro, small, and medium enterprises during the Anilag Festival 2024.
From March 10 to March 17, 2024, DTI-Laguna participated in the Anilag Festival, which provided a platform for market linkage with possible partners in promoting businesses and empowering consumers. Additionally, information materials for a broader market reach were distributed throughout the week-long event, and a selection of the best products from the clients assisted by DTI-Laguna were showcased at the DTI-Laguna booth.
Aside from these activities, DTI-Laguna helped walk-in clients by offering them business consultancy on business name registrations, livelihood programs, capacity-building training and entrepreneurship seminars, product development under the One Town One Product/Kapatid Mentor Me/Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan, and Intellectual Property registration.
Since 2004, the Anilag Festival has been dubbed as the “mother of all festivals” in Laguna. It became an attraction for tourists not only from Laguna but also from nearby provinces. It features not only a glimpse of Laguna’s wonders but also an experience of the unique blend of cultural, historical and religious celebrations of each of its 24 municipalities and 6 cities as well. Apart from the trade fair booth, the Anilag Festival brought a number of cultural presentations including land float parade, street dancing, cheerdance competition, landscape demonstrations, among others.
The festival started with a heritage fluvial parade followed by the parish saints/Marian procession and a Thanksgiving mass on the first day on March 10, 2024. The support and participation in the Anilag Festival is one testament of a strengthened collaboration between DTI-Laguna and the Provincial Government of Laguna (IMFlores, DTI-Laguna). ♦
