Awarding ceremony of the 40 livelihood kits by the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines

VICTORIA, LAGUNA — The Department of Trade and Industry Laguna Provincial Office (DTI-Laguna) took part in the awarding ceremony of the 40 livelihood kits by the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines on January 31, 2024, held at the Brgy. Batino Covered Court, Calamba City, Laguna.

The DTI-Laguna staff conducted entrepreneurial development training to help capacitate the micro, small, and medium enterprises after the official awarding ceremony. Also present during the event were Laguna Trade and Industry Director Christian Ted Tungohan and Assistant Regional Director of DTI-4A Revelyn Cortez.

In addition to the DTI Key Officials mentioned above, also present during the awarding ceremony was Calamba City Mayor Hon. Roseller Rizal who reminded the beneficiaries that the City Government of Calamba together with the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines and the Department of Trade and Industry – Laguna Provincial Office are always ready to help capacitate them.

This activity is a Community Upskilling and Enterprise Development Corporate Social Responsibility Project of the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines that aims to provide livelihood packages to beneficiaries from the retail and service sector comprising 15 sari-sari stores, 10 food service providers, and 15 rice stores (PSMCortezano, DTI-Laguna). ♦
